Motion-led creative portfolio / 2024
Capture Portfolio
A multi-page creative portfolio exploring expressive transitions without sacrificing navigation clarity.
CASE STUDY / 06
OVERVIEW
Capture is a responsive React portfolio built to explore route transitions, scroll-triggered reveals, and image-led storytelling across multiple pages.
01
The challenge
Animation can quickly become decoration that slows people down. The core challenge was to make movement support hierarchy and orientation across route changes.
02
The solution
I paired React Router with Motion and intersection observers, using reusable variants for entrances and exits and Styled Components for scoped, responsive layouts.
03
What shipped
- Route-level page transitions
- Scroll-triggered reveals
- Reusable animation variants
- Responsive image layouts
OUTCOME
A cohesive study in purposeful frontend motion and reusable animation patterns that now informs the motion system in this portfolio.
